Will Thomas Müller ever become a legend?

August 15th, 2008 — a very special day for Thomas Müller. With FC Bayern being frustrated at home to Hamburg SV and losing their 2-0 lead, then head coach Jürgen Klinsmann took off Miroslav Klose and gave the first team debut to Müller with ten minutes remaining. Müller felt that his own performance wasn’t good, but despite that he made a further three short appearances in the Bundesliga and one in the Champions League against Sporting Lisbon, in which he scored the goal which set the highest Champions League aggregate record. TFlags’ Photoshopped picture of the week

Looks like Thomas Müller’s goal scoring record this year has finally taken off, and quite appropriately so. After an equivalent of 13 games without a single goal, the midfielder/striker was quite pleased with the feat, expressing to a reporter: “I was surprised at jumping so high and scoring against three defenders.” (Loosely translated by Google.)
