But that’s not it: Planetary was also #1 Most Added with Guided By Voices The Bears For Lunch, closing out a tally of four #1′s in a single week. A tremendous accomplishment for both artists.

Thank you for a great CMJ!

Our 2012 CMJ party was a tremendous success and we’d like to thank all of our wonderful bands, sponsors, and Pianos who helped us make it such a great time. Most importantly, thanks to everyone who braved the rain to come out and celebrate with us. Having all of your friendly faces around was the highlight of our CMJ. If you didn’t already see, our party also received some great write ups from Pitchfork, Stereogum, and Brooklyn Vegan!

A big congratulations goes out to Alicia Jacobs and Chris Dettenwanger who won prizes from Blackstar and Vox, who generously donated a HT-1 Combo Guitar Amplifier and amPhone Vox Headphones. Happy listening!

Just wait to see what we have in store next year…

Last week Rah Rah’s new single, “Art and a Wife,” was premiered on MTV Hive and was described as, “one of the most sincere play-by-plays ever in a rock song.”  It’s the foot-stomping indie rock melody that tells the personal story of a jaded rock and roller, and only the opener of their upcoming full length. The Poet’s Dead will be available October 2nd through Hidden Pony Records.
