The London 2012 Festival is a 12-week UK-wide celebration that brought together more than 25,000  artists from across the world.

Across the whole of the UK, millions of people celebrated this summer. More than 20,000 Local Leaders have been inspired to bring the excitement of the Games to their local communities.

The Live Sites helped to make the Games a truly national event, with screens in almost every major city in the UK, each of which became the focus of local celebrations.

London 2012 is using the power of the Games to inspire children and young people across the UK and around the world.

Olympic mascot Wenlock remains on a journey around the UK, meeting people and finding out about sport.

The Olympic Torch Relay shone a light on the whole of the UK – from dynamic urban areas to places of outstanding natural beauty.
