Welcome to CompeteFor
WHAT IS COMPETEFOR?
CompeteFor is a free service that enables businesses to compete for contract opportunities linked to major public and private sector buying organisations.
Following its successful use by the London 2012 authorities and their supply chains as part of the London 2012 Games, CompeteFor continues to be used in the supply chain to transform the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and by other public sector buying organisations such as Crossrail, as part of their procurement process. In turn, smaller sub-contractors of these larger organisations use CompeteFor to make their business opportunities widely available.
CompeteFor acts as an electronic brokerage service, matching buyers with potential suppliers. It has a particular focus on opportunities in the supply chains of major organisations, which are often not visible to smaller businesses, although they usually offer smaller and more achievable packages of work.
The types of business opportunities available on CompeteFor range across all sectors of the economy. Examples of business opportunities that have appeared on CompeteFor include specialist construction plant hire, cleaning and catering services, kennelling for police dogs and the design of the London 2012 mascots!
For ease and convenience, business opportunities of all values are also advertised on CompeteFor that have been posted onto the Supply4London website by London local authorities.
