Worst job?
I was a trainee account handler for an ad agency. I was sacked because I was incredibly useless. I can remember the day -� 6 February, 1987. After that I went back home and in May got a job in radio
Your favourite piece of clothing?
M&S support knickers - firm support pants. It's not long since I had a baby. It's allowed
If your house was on fire, what three things would you save?
Other than my husband and our two daughters, I would save my photograph albums, and recordings of the greatest editions of Drive which I listen to avidly
Worst on air nightmare?
The only time I've ever felt really scared before a broadcast was at five minutes to four on 11 September, 2001

She did her best on very limited resources
