I've still got a backlog from several years ago waiting to be played, some of which even pre-dates Steam sales.

I only just got round to buying myself a PS3 late last year, so for me the longer they leave it the better.

+Steven Reefer Adverts on a subscription service are pretty common with TV networks. I can't say I'm a fan of adverts, but presumably the service is costing more to run than it used to. Most of the time I get straight into a game so don't really notice them.
I've just clocked nine years of Live so I guess I'm kind of used to it these days. I don't make that much use of all the extra apps they've added, but I still see my subscription costs as covering my online gaming needs so the rest is just extra.
By and large it's been a pretty decent service over the years. However, Sony's PS+ has become quite strong in the past six months, so if Microsoft want to continue with subscriptions they'll likely need to up their game too.
