Welcome to IGN's DmC Wiki!
...and welcome to hell!
Developer Ninja Theory seeks to reinvent Capcom's classic Devil May Cry franchise from the ground-up, calling this new game simply DmC.
This new reboot of the franchise will invigorate the gameplay system with all-new Weapons and Abilities, while promising to retain the stylish interplay between gun- and swordplay of the previous Devil May Cry games.
In DmC: Devil May Cry, Dante works with Vergil as a team of Nephilim. Nephilim are creatures that are half Demon and half Angel. Demons and Angels have always been at war, making it forbidden for an Angel and Demon to ever be with one another. Their goal is simple vengeance on the person who ripped their family apart, Mundus the Demon King. Doing so will also have the side-benefit of freeing the humans from Mundus' plans.
