Fish and chips for one: Victoria Beckham sticks to her alkaline diet and totes £2,000 bag as she treats son Cruz to a deep fried feast

Victoria Beckham might be sticking to her alkaline diet, but she clearly isn't enforcing it on her children.

The mother-of-four was seen treating her young son Cruz to a fish and chip supper following his day at school on Monday.

Victoria, 38, looked like any other parent as she took her son into a Notting Hill chippy and ordered him dinner for one.

While the food might have been a bargain Victoria's handbag was not, costing a cool £1,995.

The oversized item is from her own designer label and she teamed the large bag with a pair of £300 sunglasses also by Victoria Beckham.

Due to her recent admission that she is a strong advocate of the alkaline diet it is unlikely that she was indulging in any of the deep fat fried delicacies herself.

Now that the family are back in the UK, the Beckhams are fully getting themselves back into the swing of things with British cuisine.

Fashion designer Victoria looked city chic in a baggy thick knit jumper that she teamed with a pair of skinny fit jeans and some knee-high boots.

The Spice Girl kept her face hidden behind a pair of large sunglasses and had her brunette locks down falling over her shoulders.

Cruz, meanwhile, was looking more rough and ready as he was still wearing his physical education kit and had on a pair of Nike football trainers.

The mother and son afternoon of bonding came after Victoria had already spent some time with her little girl Harper.

The brunette pair had been seen earlier in the day making a very stylish appearance at the Apple store in central London.

With Victoria carrying a large brown and black handbag in one hand, she had Harper firmly in the other as the two checked out some of the gadgets.

Victoria's big bag hung uncomfortably off her arm, with the mother-of-four having to balance the orange and black accessory on her leg as she opened her car door.

However, despite apparently finding it tough to carry the large bag, Victoria still managed to look as chic as ever.

The former Spice Girls star embraced the cold weather in the capital by stepping out in David's cable-knit navy jumper.

Victoria, David and their four children recently moved back to London following the end of the footballer's contract with LA Galaxy.

The family certainly appear to be making the most of their return to the UK, and were seen taking in some theatre as they attended the new Cirque du Soleil show Kooza on Saturday night.

Speaking in a new interview with Britain's Elle magazine about the move, Victoria said: 'Now David has finished playing for LA Galaxy and we are starting a new chapter in our lives.

'As a family we are all very excited about what lies ahead for 2013.'

Very exciting to see what 2013 holds in store for them... I'd be more interested to know how excited they are going to be in 20 or 30 years time when their children and grandchildren grow up...and see the condition of the planet they have inherited and will they ask their parents... why didn't you do something?
