Did you get that off your granny's dining table? Britney Spears wears a doily top to church

Britney Spears looked like she'd borrowed a doily from her grandmother's dining table as she stepped out for Sunday mass in a crocheted top.

The 33-year-old was spotted wearing the demure top as she headed to a church service in Westlake Village, California.

Although her top featured a modest neckline and pure white lace trim, she paired it with a very short and very tight black skirt.

On her feet were a pair of black, medium-heeled peep-toe pumps, accentuating her fine dancer's legs.

The former X Factor judge purchased multimillion dollar mansion in a fancy gated Westlake Village community in November. But since then, her life has changed drastically.

In January, she and Simon Cowell had a parting of ways and Britney announced she would be quitting X Factor; plus she busted up with finance Jason Trawick.

All of the commotion, may have lead Spears to re-examine her life. In 2005, she became interested in the Kabbalah religion, which she was introduced to by her friend and fellow singer, Madonna.

Spears said the prayers, although they are in Hebrew, helped calm her. 'For some reason, I'm thirsting for' religion, Spears told Elle Magazine at the time.

Britney, who shares custody with her two young boys with former husband, Kevin Federline, walked to church in the company of an unidentified woman.

The Oops, I Did it Again! star carried no purse, however, she might have slipped some money into a hidden pocket to deposit into the church's collection plate.

I like the top but it doesn't go with that skirt.

I think that's a great look. Except for the orange bra. And, oh yeah, the fact that she's at church ...

Her big toes look like they could be used as weapons.

I think her top is fine, it's the really short skirt to Church that concerns me. Her bra is not a good colour either, and the other Lady in the picture's dress is hideous.
