The Duchess of Cambridge dressed to impressed during her recent tour of the Far East with her husband Prince William and in doing so maintained her profile as one of the world's most stylish women.

While the scandal of pictures being published of her sunbathing topless raged, Kate stepped out in 18 different elegant and demure outfits as she met locals and attended formal functions in the searing heat. The cost of her outfits ranged from a £75 dress from British High Street store Jaeger to a stunning bespoke Alexander McQueen gown, estimated to cost around £4,000. With her range of designer to independently made dresses, shoes, bags and jewellery, the Duchess' wardrobe for the nine day trip cost an estimated £20,000.

The thrifty Duchess is famous for recycling her outfits so will no doubt make use of the dresses she was seen wearing during the tour for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee at other engagements in the future. Throughout the tour which took in places including Singapore and the Soloman Islands, Kate wore her trusty LK Bennett £195 nude court shoes on several occasions, while her Russell and Bromley navy wedges and favourite clutch bags were given further outings.

Here's what Kate wore on each day of her Far East tour...

Not my style, but she looked nice. However, she needs to understand that she is turning herself into a celebrity. This is fine, but you can't complain about creepy paps when you welcome the attention. However, all the work she's done to herself looks good. That botox did wonders.

So it's over £1000 per outfit and yet the dresses are boring and look like something picked up from New Look. With her budget I'd look million times better

Its easy to dismiss the comments as nasty and jealous, but to be honest how else can we look at it? However you view the situation, we did contribute to this clothing fund and most of us are feeling the pinch. Sorry if some of you are offended by this, but this is a case of "Us and them" and at a difficult time for most of us, we find it a bit frustrating.

I, dont think kate;s dresse;s came out of tax payers money,I;m sure willam could afford to pay his wife, to buy these lovely dresses.but the price of 20k for all the outfits,is rather steep.Since most outfit;s look like summer dresses, you would wear to work,or to a summer party.

For all the negative comments. You are just jealous. You should all feel lucky that Kate seems to be such a lovely, well presented and down to earth woman who is standing by her man and fulfilling their royal duties. She represents Britain much better than it deserves. So instead of putting her down, just because your bitter, you should be thankful. I doubt many woman could what she does so well everyday.

Sorry, but since the topless stories, the Duchesse of Cambridge has lost her class. She gives advice to her sister because she has the image of party girl, but she forgets that Pippa is not a royal member but she, yes. Kate is fake ... fake tan, fake smile, fake smile and fake class ...

I think she looks lovely in everything, but I especially like her look in the tiny red & black print Raoul, & the sheer blue & white floral dress by Alice Temperly. She does have beautiful legs.

Bit envious of those legs, to be honest -they have a lovely shape. Wish mine looked as good!
