Kristin Davis, 47, displays painful-looking red face as she emerges from Chinese health clinic

Kristin Davis displayed a painful-looking red face as she emerged from a Chinese health clinic in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 47-year-old actress, who appeared to have gone the extra mile in a bid to maintain her youthful glow, sported a rash and what appeared to be bruising on her left cheek as she headed home following an appointment at the Chinese Health Institute.

In addition, Kristin displayed scratches and a further rash on her chest.

While it is not clear exactly what procedure Kristin had inside the establishment, the Chinese Healing Institute offer acupuncture, cupping and electrical stimulation among their many services.

The clinic is run by leading acupuncturists and herbalists, who are experts in dealing with weight management, various skin problems, chronic pain, and infertility, to name a few.]

And it's not the time Kristin has paid a visit to the institution.

The mother-of-one was spotted leaving the same infirmary, which boasts several big celebrity names among its clientele, in November 2011.

But despite the marks on her face and chest, Kristin appeared in good spirits as she left the clinic, clutching a bottle of water.

Dressed nothing like her former on-screen persona Charlotte York Goldenblatt, who she played for six years, Kristin opted to ditch her heels for a pair of comfortable pink boots.

With her brunette hair falling at her shoulders, make-up free Kristin shielded her eyes with a pair of aviator styled sunglasses.

Finishing her look, Davis wore an all navy ensemble consisting of a jacket, plain top and running pants with a small black leather handbag completing her casual get-up.
