She's had a difficult few months following her split from fiancé Jason Trawick.

But Britney Spears is doing her best to put her heartbreak behind her, and was spotted looking cheery as she headed out in Los Angeles on Monday.

The mother-of-two showed off her slim figure in a turquoise vest top and grey jogging bottoms, and treated fans to a wide smile as she waved while leaving a Starbucks coffee shop.

Dressed down: Britney looked less than glamorous in her outfit, which consisted of a turquoise vest top and grey jogging bottoms

Britney, 31, teamed her outfit with a pair of trainers, and wore her blonde hair piled on top of her head for the outing.

She finished off her ensemble with pair of huge sunglasses.

Earlier in the day, Britney was seen wearing a pink zip-up sweatshirt, making her otherwise slightly sexy ensemble look dowdy and less then glamorous.

Britney was also seen with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth as she drove her white Jaguar while heading out to get her nails done and run some errands.

Britney and Jason announced they had split earlier this month, stunning fans when they revealed their broken engagement.

At the time, Britney said in a statement: 'Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement.

Jason added: 'As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever.'

The 41-year-old manager had represented Britney for years but quit his job before the couple got engaged in December 2011.

ok, this is what I don't understand, yes Britney had mental health issues in the past but shes also released 3 albums since then, gone on tour twice and appeared in a major television programme, there is no reason for people to act so 'poor Britney' the girl has 200 million plus, truth be told, the girl doesn't have a nice fashion sense, yes wearing the odd tracksuit is completely acceptable and normal but it seems when tulisa does it, its 'chav' and when Britney does it, its 'comfy'.
