|Back to Health Care Reform|
On behalf of the many thousands of American families Eagle Forum represents nationwide, I urge you to co-sponsor H.R. 4903, a bill to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, sponsored by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN).
This bill will fully repeal the multi-trillion dollar government-takeover of health care legislation-signed into law by President Obama on March 23, 2010-which was narrowly passed by partisan margins in Congress despite overwhelming opposition from the American people. Because the law does not allow for the health benefits and enrollment to kick in until 2014, it is realistically within reach to repeal Obamacare in full before that date and it's not too late to right this wrong against the American people.
At a time when national unemployment has reached double digits for the first time since 1983, Obamacare will further stifle the free-market and it will pose even more obstacles to much-needed economic recovery. Just recently, a number of American companies announced the negative financial impact they will suffer due to the heavy tax burdens, mandates, and financial penalties of Obamacare. Deere & Co. announced an astounding $150 million forecasted loss; Caterpillar Inc. announced a $100 million loss; and, AK Steel announced a $31 million dollar loss. Such financial strains on large employers will ultimately be paid by American workers in the form of reduced wages and lost jobs.
Repealing the government-takeover of the U.S. health care industry provided for in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is vital to saving and reclaiming American values, American jobs, and the American way of life. Please help us reach 100 co-sponsors on H.R. 4903 so that a discharge petition can be filed. To sign on as a co-sponsor, please contact Paul Blocher in Rep. Bachmann's office at 202-225-2331.
