Become a Volunteer
Our volunteers are invaluable—they make it possible for girls throughout Eastern Pennsylvania to tap into their full potential and become strong, empowered leaders.
No matter what your schedule looks like or where your skills lie, there’s a volunteer path that’s right for you. Lead or assist with a troop, facilitate a one-time program, chaperone at camp, organize and run an event, recruit girls, or help out behind the scenes—whichever option you choose will be rewarding and fun. By sharing your talents, interests, professional background, cultural heritage, and more, you can help open up a world of discovery and leadership for girls.
In return, being a Girl Scout volunteer offers exciting opportunities to meet new people, share special talents, and spend your time in a meaningful way. Additionally, volunteers become part of an organization of timeless character and genuine purpose that promises to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

It's easy to become a volunteer!
Once you’ve figured out what role fits best for you:

Fill out the volunteer application

If the role that you chose requires a background clearance (someone who works with girls 3 or more times, plans to attend an overnight with girls or handles Girl Scout funds), you will be directed to apply for it within the application process.

Once you’ve obtained a satisfactory clearance, your contact information will be sent to the volunteers in your area, who will be able to answer any questions relating to your role and volunteering with Girl Scouts and provide continued support.

If you’re right for the role, we’ll assist you in becoming a registered adult member and receiving proper training.
