She's a successful actress and model with a glamorous, jet-setting lifestyle envied by many.

But Lily Collins made sure to clear space in her schedule to enjoy a spot of quality time with her mother on Tuesday afternoon.

The 23-year-old beauty looked effortlessly chic as she headed off on her mother-daughter day out, embracing the casual look in a dressed-down ensemble.

Grabbing a coffee with her mum, Jill Tavelman, in Beverly Hills, California, the British star looked happy and relaxed to be in the company of her relative.

And as well as showing off her fashion credentials in her stylish outfit, Lily - the daughter of musician Phil Collins - made sure to wrap up against the chilly weather.

The Mirror Mirror star teamed a cute, chunky cable-knit jumper with a pair of black skinny jeans, which showed off her enviably slim pins in all their glory.

Lily accessorised her winter ensemble with a pair of funky black high-top trainers, a slouched leather shoulder bag and dark Ray Ban Wayfarer shades.

The actress wore minimal make-up to show off her naturally flawless skin, while leaving her recently dyed red-brown locks straight and loose around her shoulders.

Lily is becoming quite the cause of excitement with her upcoming teen fantasy flick The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones scheduled to be released in August.

The highly anticipated movie is based on the popular sci-fi and fantasy teen book series by Cassandra Clare.

It was during the filming last year that Lily and her co-star Jamie Campbell-Bower developed something more than just a mutual appreciation, and they've been dating ever since the movie wrapped.

Lily portrays Clare Fray, a seemingly ordinary teenage girl, who finds out truths about her past and bloodline on a quest to get back her mother who has been kidnapped by a demon.

The actress has already built an impressive body of work, starring as Sandra Bullock's daughter in The Blind Side, then last year starring in Mirror Mirror with Julia Roberts.

Can't even see her mother, except for a back view. Don't care for the over-dyed red henna look on Ms. Collins's hair.
