Gwen Stefani brings rock chick style to the slopes with new ski-wear line (and there's No Doubt it'll stand out in the snow!)

Gwen Stefani has collaborated with Burton to bring her label's unique signature look to ski-wear.

L.A.M.B. for Burton is intended to be 'superflattering', the 43-year-old No Doubt singer told WWD.

The collection includes waterproof parkas, vests, pants and beanies, all featuring rock chic details like oversized zippers, bright colors and bold prints.

LAMB for Burton

High fashion meets high altitude function: Gwen Stefani's new L.A.M.B. for Burton collection features waterproof ski-wear in fun and unique colors and patterns

'We tried to mix masculine and feminine, which we always do,' the mother-of-two explained.

The snowboarding pants, for example, have 'a really cute fit... [and] a tuxedo stripe for that edge.'

She admitted that designing the ten-piece collection was a far cry from creating her main womenswear line.

'The clothing itself is really technical,' she explained. 'We haven’t done that before so it was a new challenge.'

Take a bow: Ms Stefani, 42 - pictured here on the Spring 2011 L.A.M.B. runway with adorable son Kingston Rossdale - launched her fashion label in 2006

She clearly delivered on both fashion and function though. Burton's chief creative officer Greg Dacyshyn called the resulting collaboration 'a unique mash-up of Gwen’s bold style combined with on-mountain functionality.'

Ms. Stefani - who has been married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale for 11 years - launched L.A.M.B. in 2006.

The fashion label's signature street-style details and Jamaican influences can be seen in her new line, which features military quilting, houndstooth print and Rastafarian-style stripes.

The collection will be available in stores and on Burton.com in September.

@Melissa -- I agree, her look is SOOO TIRED and she really doesn't have much talent. I don't get the appeal.

Why do people think this woman is so great? because she makes sure to always be wearing fire engine red lipsick? I'm sick of looking at this tired image, it's been like 15 years.

I LOVE the top jacket and trousers. But I am afraid I wouldn't be able to afford it, though, I think I could pull it off on the slope. Those trousers are edgy. Love your style Gwen.

I love Gwen, she is such a talented lady. However, I must say, I do think a lot of the clothes she wears, only she can pull off, and they would look rubbish on mere mortals.
