School Turnaround AmeriCorps Notice of Funding Opportunity
The School Turnaround AmeriCorps Initiative is a collaborative effort by CNCS and the U.S. Department of Education. This partnership will support the placement of AmeriCorps members in persistently lowest-performing schools across the country.
Harris Wofford Receives the Presidential Citizens Medal
Senator Wofford, who served as the CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service from 1995 to 2001, was honored on Friday February 15th.
The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and U.S. Department of Education announced a new collaborative effort today to strengthen and accelerate interventions in our nation’s lowest-performing schools. The new School Turnaround AmeriCorps program will support a dedicated unit of AmeriCorps members that will provide additional support and resources in persistently underachieving schools.
