Hosting the Olympic Games

The Olympic Games, which is held in every four years, is a symbol of international friendship, and a celebration of unity among nations. Many athletes from different countries participate in this event representing their country. There is usually a big competition among nations who want to host this event in their country for various reasons. Some are attracted by the special status of being an Olympic host. Since many countries can’t host the Games successfully, some countries want to show the world that they are capable of doing it. From this point of view, hosting the Olympic Games could bring a sense of national pride for them. Others believe the Games will provide them with a chance to showcase their city and country to the rest of the world and improve their economy. In the light of these facts, it is worth looking at the benefits of hosing the Olympic Games.

Zomi Bruce Lee eyeing for Hollywood movies

The four times International Champion Mang Tombing, a young Zomi kick boxing professional, who is also known as ‘Bruce Lee Return’ wants to enter into Hollywood  movies. Talking to our reporter yesterday at his residence in Gurgaon, Mang Tombing had many appearances in TV channels, serials, local and international media. Fearless Tombing and Edgar Noordanus, a famous Thai Kick-boxing Master-trainer had jointly shown ‘Thai Kick-boxing Demonstration’ telecast by NDTV Goodtimes two years back.

Zomi won medals at SEA Games 2009

Bangkok, December 20 (ZoNet): Zomi nationals from Myanmar Aung Ngai, Kap Cin Pau and Mai Nilar Htwe captured gold, silver medals for the Myanmar team at the SEA Games held at Vientiane, Laos from December 9 - 18, 2009. Aung Ngai of Mindat won the gold in women's 70m Compound bow while Kap Cin Pau, of Tedim was second in men's Judo Karate (Over 50 kg up to 55 kg). Mai Nilar Htwe of Kalewa also won the silver medal as a team leader for Myanmar's Women Soccer team.
