Nicole Kidman and 84 Others Stand United Against Terrorism

terrorad081706 Nicole Kidman and 84 Others Stand United Against Terrorism

Nicole Kidman, and a slew of other Hollywood heavyweights, took out a full page advertisement in the Los Angeles Times, and the they single out such terrorist organizations as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine.

“We the undersigned are pained and devastated by the civilian casualties in Israel and Lebanon caused by terrorist actions initiated by terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah and Hamas,” the ad reads.

“If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die.”

“We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs.”

Others on the list of supporters included in the advertisement are Michael Douglas, Dennis Hopper, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Danny De Vito, Don Johnson, James Woods, Kelly Preston, Patricia Heaton, Gary Sinise, and William Hurt. Directors Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Michael Mann, Dick Donner, and Sam Raimi also signed their names.

Anyone who is openly critical of President Bush, and who does not have their name on this list, is just a Bush Bashing hypocrite who supports terrorism. Although terrorists really don’t care about outside pressure, this stand against terrorism might help rally support which might translate into action to stop terrorism. It’s not a pleasant job. Earlier generations took care of these sorts of world problems so we could have a better future, so we need to do the same for future generations. It’s our turn as history repeats itself.

Kelly Preston bestowed her support for the letter, but where was her husband John Travolta’s support? Do we assume he’s pro-terrorism? What about Nicole’s exhusband Tom Cruise? Well, he probably thinks that the world’s differences should be solved with high doses of vitamins.

Well you now know why in LA the influence of agents/managers over clients is so obvious.

To think over 1000 Lebanese died during Israel’s bombing of Lebanon, but we only talk about the ‘soldiers of Israel’ who lost thier lives in an act of war…
Did we also forget the 1400 Palestinians killed during operation Cast Lead 2008/09 (400 of them innocent children).

Keep pushing the one sided view of the conflict guys… nice to know people sign something without knowing who the oppressor is and who is being oppressed.

    Sad and pathetic.

Israel didnt exsist more than 55 years ago, it is and will remain the land of palestine, so anything they do to defend what remains of their land is right. for hizzbollah he defends his country and seeks out isreali spies, shame on everyone on the list for supporting zionism!

Israel existed before Palestine. The land was returned to the Jews by the British who occupied that area. Arabs took Israel from the Jews many years ago, and they would like to do so again. The Arabs who took the Jew’s land the first time were wrong to do so, and the Arabs trying to take land from the Jews now are wrong again. The Palestinian Arabs would like to occupy the Jew’s land again, but they can now defend themselves with a military, so the Arabs are trying to take the land by spreading misinformation and painting themselves as victims rather than former occupiers of the Jew’s land.

The Arabs in Palestine need to move into one of their neighboring Arab countries where they can live in peace, rather than trying to prevent the Jews from living in their homeland.

It is time for all to know that Palestinians have accepted the reality of the Israeli’s living on their land. Even though over 2mil have be kicked out of their homes and properties over the years.

Ancient history is not modern history.

Only now the talk of a one state solution is the only viable option to peace.

Noam Chomsky is the leading commentator and voice of this whole conflict. Look him up. Land grabbing and violence is not going to give Israeli’s peace in the area.

The Romans expelled the Jews not the Arabs.

Congratulations on some of Hollywood’s most elite for taking a stand against terrorism.
Far to many of the actors in Hollywood are bleeding heart liberals who support only the causes that help them.
HOORAY FOR EVERYONE who signed and shame on those of you who didn’t!

  5. I will boycott those on this list!!!!!!!!!!!
    Sounds like they love Obama.

“Either they don’t know what the Israeli/Lebanon conflict is about, or they support something quite horrible.”

Yeah, it sure is horrible to support the only functioning democracy in the Middle East and to speak out against a bunch of stone-age Islamists.

  7. Everyone on this list lost respect in my eyes

Either they don’t know what the Israeli/Lebanon conflict is about, or they support something quite horrible.

is this some attempt to equate the vast destruction in Lebanon with a Hezbollah rocket attack on an unoccupied Haaen-Dazs in Sderot? as for Hamas, Israel should have taken their violent tendencies into account when they backed the emergent group against Arafat (who may’ve been a terrorist, but he was a secular nationalist, not Islamist). a sense of reality – and less hasbara – would be welcome.
