I find it a damn shame that this manages to reach over 1M while Jane Jensen’s Kickstarter didn’t even reach half that.

Jane Jensen was involved in MULTIPLE fantastic adventure games AND was able to put out a quite impressive one just last year – “Gray Matter”.
“Dreamfall” already wasn’t as great as “The Longest Journey” and what I see in this trailer makes me shudder/worry and feel frustrated. Because I so much wanted the story to be finished but this looks so horrible that there is no way I could ever get as immersed as during “The Longest Journey” or really any other adventure game I’ve ever enjoyed playing.
With people still supporting it THIS much, Jane’s project should have gotten at least 2M!

Jane Jensen’s kickstarter campaign still got funded though, not quite sure why you’re complaining.

To be quite honest I’d never even heard of her until now.

The Longest Journey is one of the Adventure greats for a reason, and as a brand obviously has more pull in terms of recognition. Dreamfall wasn’t as good, but it wasn’t awful, and I could appreciate what it was trying to set up and achieve. It still had strong character and lore holding it up.

And the same goes for this one. I’m not after an incredible adventure game, I’m after more of that world. That story, those characters. I honestly believe Ragnar Tornquist is one of the most exciting talents in videogames, and I adore the layering of cyberpunk and fantasy in what amounts to a compelling exploration of duality.

Which all adds up to why the numbers have fallen this way, which again, that other project got fully funded. Don’t know why you’re whinging.
