He allegedly had a 'meltdown' after being fired on All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.

But Bret Michaels clearly wanted to have the last word on the subject as the aging rocker posted a notably serious and humble Facebook video Wednesday of himself thanking Donald Trump.

And in news that will please his fans the Poison frontman hinted that he will return to the NBC reality series.

'Well I've been hired big, fired big, and possibly rehired big again this season,' the Rock of Love lothario coyly said as he held the camera.

'Mr Trump, I want to thank you very much for having me back on the show this year. I feel great when I win, it didn't feel so great when you fired me. But I know I'll see you again. Thanks for the opportunity.'

The minute-long clip also has Bret, who turns 50 next week, pulling the classy move of congratulating country singer Trace Adkins on 'an amazing win' during the episode's meatball challenge.

'The great thing about Celebrity Apprentice is no matter who wins or loses, somebody's great charity is going to win a whole lot of money and help a whole lot of people,' Michaels said.

And the Talk Dirty to Me singer should know.

Three years ago, he raised $640,000 for the American Diabetes Association for competing in and ultimately winning Celebrity Apprentice 3.

'Deep down psychologically it is awfully hard for me to pick you again as a winner. That is why it was incredulous to me that you came back,' the mogul-turned-host told Michaels on the episode.

'Bret you have been a winner, you are a winner, you are great but you are fired. I cannot fire someone who raised that kind of money.'

But when Trump fired the former winner on Sunday, Bret did not reportedly take the news as well as he appeared to in his video.

'Bret was crying and totally distraught after he was fired,' a show insider told Radar Online.

'He couldn’t believe it that he was let go so quickly. It was brutal to watch him freaking out the way he did.'

The source added: 'It was a mess when Bret was told the news and filming was done. He couldn’t stop crying and even the producers were trying to comfort him. No one expected him to have a meltdown like that.'

The bandanna-capped rock star finished his own video by thanking his fans, and then promoted his summer tour and his new show Rock my RV - premiering on The Travel Channel in May.

Bret also made sure to position his camera so it faced a wall of his framed gold and platinum records.

The former Nashville Star judge also took to his Twitter to write his PR-approved message to fans.

'Despite the show outcome, I remain great friends w/ @realDonaldTrump @DonaldJTrumpJr @EricTrump @IvankaTrump & continue charitable efforts,' he tweeted.

'Looking forward to my 50th #birthday and throwing an awesome party with friends and family.'

The father-of-two split with his partner of 18 years Kristi Gibson last year, and he survived heart surgery in 2011.

Bret's next film, musical biopic Skum Rocks!, is also due out later this year.
