Nobody goes cold in Hugh Jackman's house, not even the family dog.

The Les Miserables star is considered one of the nicest actors in Hollywood and on Saturday he proved once again just why he has that reputation.

On a cold early morning in New York the 44-year-old was spotted walking with his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, and their French Bulldog - who was conspicuously attired in a bright orange vest.

The little canine appeared warm and happy in his fashionable accessory as he walked ahead of his two conscientious masters.

The Wolverine star guarded against the winter temperatures with white trainers and a pair of loose-fitting grey joggers.

He completed the bundled-up ensemble with a large snow jacket, skiing gloves, and a black beanie.

Deborra-Lee, 57, was similarly swathed in black tights and a winter jacket.

The busy mother-of-two also wore grey trainers with orange laces - colour-coordinating with Dali the dog.

The trio looked happy as Deborra-Lee walked arm-in-arm with her famous husband.

Later that same day, Hugh went for another walk with Dali  but this time they were both a little more lightly attired.

As the day had grown warm the Prestige star stripped down to a thin jumper and freed up his pooch to roam the city streets naked in his fur.

They were accompanied by the actor's two children, Oscar and Ava.

The eldest, 12-year-old Oscar, wore trainers, a pair of grey joggers like his father and a snow jacket.

While his younger sister Ava, seven, wore tights and an athletic turquoise jumper as she bounced a basketball.

The foursome were all smiles as they met up with some of their friends.

Hugh was the picture of parental delight as he enjoyed the lazy Saturday family outings.

But it will not be all fun and games for the Australia star who has a prolific year ahead of him.

He just wrapped up the highly anticipated Wolverine sequel and is set to start filming X-Men: Days of Future Past.

It is also rumoured that he will be starring as P.T. Barnum in The Greatest Showman on Earth.

I wonder if the paparazzi got the permission of the minors' parents before printing these pictures. I know I wouldn't be happy to see my child's picture in a paper without my knowledge.

Even as a diehard cat person, I have to admit that French bulldog is simply enchanting. Such an adorable face, and those ears! Hugh has wonderful taste in pets!
