Justin Bieber canceled a show in Portugal this week.

According to the venue's website the pop singer's absence was 'due to unforeseen circumstances.'

The 19-year-old was scheduled to perform at the Pavilhao Atlantico in Lisbon on March 11 and March 12 but the second appearance was cancelled.

The website for Pavilhao Atlantico informed fans: 'Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber was forced to cancel the second performance in Portugal, March 12.'

But the site assured Bieber's dedicated following that the 'Canadian singer is eager to play for the Portuguese fans on March 11.'

Ticket holders for the cancelled date were directed to contact the original place of purchase for refunds.

It is unknown what these 'unforeseen circumstances' actually are.

While the Under the Mistletoe singer was hospitalized on Thursday it is unlikely that this is the reason for his absence, since it is the second show being cancelled on the agenda.

Although, the young man did tweet on Sunday a possible explanation: '#sundayfunday'

The cancellation came on the heels of a rough week in London for Bieber.

On Monday, March 4, he arrived two hours late for his debut show at the 02 after reportedly 'throwing a massive tantrum.'

Sources said he had been in a less than positive mood after waking up late due to a night of partying.

But that was not the reason he was so tardy - after his supposed tantrum the star locked himself in his room to play video games.

As mentioned previously, he was hospitalized later that week for breathing difficulties that have yet to be sufficiently explained for such a young man.

The following day found the Baby singer locked in a shouting match with photographers over some well-placed verbal jabs they had sent in his direction.

And not surprisingly, the 19-year-old's bodyguards had to manually restrain the pop singer from physically attacking his alleged antagonists.

The next Michael Jackson! - m9777 , Texas, 12/3/2013 16:27 I'm not a big Michael Jackson fan but even I know that's just ridiculous. He has enough trouble being himself. He will never, ever be an icon like Michael Jackson is.

The Portuguese have gone up a bit in my estimation.

Why is everyone so bitter?! I don't care about Bieber or anyone for that matter, but I don't go on bullying them online. Something about cyberbullying a 19 year old teenager is the most pathetic thing anyone ever does. I have not read this article but I simply was repulsed by the headline. I wonder what makes reporters choose this career path? I would rather be a homeless person than a reporter. It is perhaps the most inefficient way to waste your life. I could never imagine myself following a teenager everywhere and write idiotic headlines like this one.

He's canceled a second concert in Portugal due to poor ticket sales. Does this mean it's over?

He's such an idiot - a skinny white Canadian kid trying to be a rap artist and missing by miles. Retire Justin. BTW Vanilla Ice is a very successful entrepreneur in the Florida housing market and had a DIY show about it all.
