Now Rihanna postpones Baltimore stop in her Diamonds world tour after cancelling show in Boston due to laryngitis

Rihanna's Diamonds World Tour is off to a rather bad star. 

She just launched the show in Buffalo, New York on Friday, but the 25-year-old songstress has already missed two stops.

Following her cancelled performance in Boston, the Stay singer's representative stated that Tuesday's show in Baltimore will be postponed.

According to Live Nation, fans 'are instructed to retain their tickets pending rescheduling show date information' because 'Rihanna is still recovering' from illness.

'Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening,' the concert promoters previously said about Rihanna's scheduled performance at the TD Garden arena.

The next date on Rihanna's tour is Thursday in Philadelphia, but it is unclear now as to whether that show will also be affected.

The Barbados-born singer tweeted her sadness about cancelling the Boston gig on her Twitter page on Sunday.

She wrote: '#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down.'

The hard-working songstress also added that she was embarrassed about not being able to please her fans.

'I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes! #DWT,' she wrote.

Her illness comes after she kicked off her 27-city tour in New York on Friday, supporting her seventh album, Unapologetic, which features the hits Diamonds and Stay.

'You guys are all rockstars. There is only one first show, you all have a special place in my heart,' the pop star announced to the sold-out crowd at Buffalo's First Niagra Center.

Rihanna performed a number of hits during Friday's concert - presented in three acts - including Talk That Talk, All Of The Lights, Rude Boy, We Found Love, Only Girl, Don’t Stop The Music, and Where Have You Been.

According to the Buffalo News, the Barbadian singer's first show began late - after 10pm - and she was backed by a four-piece band, eight dancers, and a pair of back-up vocalists.

If Rihanna does gets better following her illness and all goes smoothly, The Diamonds World Tour is expected to end May 5 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Funny how celebs aren't allowed to get sick.. She didn't "cancel" these days, they've been rescheduled. Give her a break, surely if you were sick you'd hate anyone for coming down on you.

THE ONLY REASON she hardly ever sings live is because of the Technical Difficulties of trying to reproduce the efforts of Hours spent by Studio Technicians attempting to make her vioce sound 'On Key' !!!!!!! - Bigboyiscalling, Augsburg, Germany, 13/3/2013 9:47 In her defence.... she ALWAYS sings live.

Rihanna works pretty hard, she is one celebrity who doesn't cancel dates on a whim and is often seen in different continents on different days of the week. Say what you like, but I hope she gets better! She's on a 360 contract so to cancel/postpone her tour costs HER money so she wouldn't be doing it unless she had to. The last time she cancelled dates, her grandmother had died!

So tired of hearing about her! She needs to go away and see a therapist, hire a new PR manager and some personal advisors that know what they are doing -- then come back when she has pulled herself together.
