Just like mommy! Rachel Zoe and son Skyler earn their fashion stripes as they hit the shops

When she's not dressing up her A-list clients, she still has to tackle the task of dressing her only child.

So it's no wonder that Rachel Zoe and her son Skyler donned matching stripy tops as they made their way through the streets of West Hollywood a shopping spree on Friday.

The 41-year-old celebrity stylist carried her son as they stepped out from the shops and and into the sunshine dressed in a multicoloured striped kimono top that she belted over a sheer black maxi dress.

The reality star elevated herself in a pair of black open toed platform heels.

But that didn't keep the petite fashionista from putting some rips in the bottom on her skirt, which looked a bit tattered from wear as it dragged along behind her.

Rachel matched her look with a long gold necklace and her fringed blonde hair worn straight and sleek over her shoulders.

The highly recognizable star hid behind a pair of large sexy cat-eye sunglasses, blocking out the brilliant California sunshine.

Her son Skyler also needed a bit of reprieve from the bright sky, donning a pint-sized fedora over his curly brown hair.

Window shopping: The tiny tot easily kept his mum's attention

The stylish 22-month-old seemed happy in his mother's arms, fitted fashionably in a striped shirt and denim trousers with trendly brown leather loafers.

The pair are often spotted out when she's not busy working on her many clothing lines, and it seems as though her style is starting to rub off on the tot.

The mother-of-one recently admitted that toddler is beginning to dress himself, and inevitably, developing his own fashion sense.

'He's starting to pick out between different shirts and pyjamas. He picks between boots and shoes,' she said.

But the relaxation derived from her retail therapy session on Friday will most likely be short-lived.

Rachel is currently preparing her upcoming spring and fall collections.

Man for fashion stylist and women who lives by fashion (and options and more options) she should have styled herself better, the top is fine, but clearly this skirt is too long, in fact in looks really tacky and messed up on the bottome; like she taped it. It's clear the hem is coming down in places; it's a awful skirt, looks cheap.
