French director Frank Khalfoun made the jolly gorefest Piranha 2, and his screenwriters wrote the trashier Piranha 3D.
Loach's new, sternly partisan history lesson about the 1945 Labour government may go down a storm with George Galloway, but it's unlikely to have anyone else queuing round the block.
The core of it is the lust of a very young man, Jack Jansen (Zac Efron) for an older woman (Nicole Kidman, no less).
The picture has a better chance of success in home entertainment, where it deserves to enjoy the same kind of acclaim as other adventures in skewering the excesses of showbiz.
Taylor Hackford’s Parker is a mediocre, poorly paced thriller, starring Jason Statham as a career criminal taking vengeance on some hoods who betrayed him and left him for dead.
