Dressed-down duo: Renée Zellweger and boyfriend Doyle Bramhall go casual as they enjoy a leisurely weekend stroll

It seems Renée Zellweger and her boyfriend Doyle Bramhall have reached the stage of their relationship where they feel comfortable with each other in their most basic guises.

The pair both dressed down as they enjoyed a casual stroll in Los Angeles over the weekend, looking as loved-up as ever.

Renée, 43, appeared to have gone make-up free for the Saturday outing with her beau, and wore her dark blonde hair tied up in a messy bun.

The former Bridget Jones actress wore a loose-fitting grey jumper with three-quarter length black leggings and colourful trainers, completing her ensemble with a tan Kate Spade handbag and a pair of sunglasses.

Doyle, meanwhile opted for a V-neck purple T-shirt, jeans and a grey zip-up jacket, finished off with a pair of blue trainers.

The pair started dating around Christmas time and it seems as though the relationship’s honeymoon phase is still going strong.

Renée and Doyle met in 1990 when they were both studying at the University of Texas.

Though they never considered a romantic relationship during their college days, the two are most certainly making up for lost time now.
The pair are spending as much time together as they can before embarking on new projects.

Musician Doyle, 43, who previously dated Sheryl Crow, is an American singer and guitarist who has toured with the likes of Roger Waters and was Eric Clapton's second guitarist from 2004 to 2009.

Doyle with be reunited with Clapton's band for 12 concerts in the UK in May 2013.

Meanwhile, Bridget Jones novelist Helen Fielding is currently working on the third installment of Renée’s most-loved role, which will most likely be turned into a film once published.

I doubt Renee will want to gain weight again to play Bridget... so that may mean a new direction for the series. I know of several stars who nearly ruined their bodies and metabolisms gaining and/or losing weight for roles. Several have said they regret it. Look at Matt Mc... he's gained back a lot of what he lost, but he still looks odd and much older in the face and his hair... he's lost a lot. Poor nutrition will ruin skin.
