Danni went from 238lbs to 137lbs, meaning that she lost 46.9per cent of her body weight, and 121lbs in total.

Jeff on the other hand shed a staggering 181lbs, going from 388lbs to 207lbs. This meant he had lost 46.6per cent of his body weight.

Had Jeff managed to drop just one more pound, the percentage of his body weight lost would have exceeded Danni’s and he would have been the one taking home the $250,000 cash prize.

‘I didn't know that my dreams were possible, and I finally feel like my dream's come true,’ Danni said during the finale, before her last weigh-in.

'I feel amazing. No one can take this away from me. I feel whole again and it just took clearing out all that mental stuff that I had going on to get to this place.'

And she was thrilled with her new body.

'I've worked so hard, and at the end of the day ... look at me!'

But Jeff didn’t go home empty-handed, as he found romance with Francelina Morillo, who was eliminated earlier on in the competition, during the show.

'For the first time in a long time, I am proud (of myself),' he said.

They do go by highesest percent of body fat lost. Allison said it more than once on the finale and it's been the premise of the show all along.

even losing by a pound...who cares. THEY are thrilled to be thin and healthy. AND would not have done it without the program. I'm sure there are many people who would pay their hard earned $$ to be part of such a program. They look great.

Congrats to her and the others. Once the show is over and life returns to normal, and they no longer exercise for hours and have food prepared for them, it will be interesting to see how many of them keep the weight off.

I don't think these programs should go by weight, they should go by body fat percentage or something to make it more fair, drinking more water one day could mean you lose out by 1 pound. - Em_B, Kent, 3/19/13 4:09 PM Biologically, men will have more lean muscles than women. No, they should keep it at the % of weight loss to keep it fair.

well done to those featured..the difficulty is keeping the weight off back in your normal life - without the trainers, the focus, the tv and back at work!

I applaud their weight loss. But, c'mon, they were eating 1500 calories and working out 8 hours a day and. How many of us can do that in the real world? The true test will be to see them in a year or two to see if they kept the weight off.

She looks great - healthy and toned too. You can tell she worked very hard to get there. But losing weight so fast makes me question how healthy it really was.

Much prefer the Aussie version of this show, The UK version is so naff and boring and the US version so false, but then I've noticed I much prefer the Aussie version of most things :)
