Time for pampering! Alessandra Ambrosio slips out for an evening at the nail salon

While many in town were gleefully downing green beers for St Patrick's Day, supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio was soaking her hands and feet in a warm bath at the beauty parlor.

Alessandra headed out for a relaxing manicure and pedicure in Los Angeles on Sunday night and, as it was near closing time, found herself one of the last clients.

The 31-year-old was dressed down in pale pink jeans and a loose jumper of the same colour.

The Victoria's Secret model looked radiant even though she was wearing minimal make-up and her hair was hanging loose and slightly tousled.

Alessandra spent a while trying to decide on a colour before selecting a deep red that went well with her skin tone.

After a busy week of photoshoots and a spirited evening out with friends only the night before, Alessandra's sigh could almost be heard as she lay back in the comfy chair.

While one technician massaged her feet, the other worked over her hands.

Alessandra went for the full spa pedicure, allowing her feet to get some extra pampering including a hot towel wrap.

It's not every day that the mother-of-two allows herself some personal time such as this.

But presumably her fiance, businessman Jamie Mazur, was home to mind their children, daughter Anja, four, and son Noah, 10 months.

On Saturday, Alessandra treated herself to a rare night out with friends at Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood.

Not only was she sporting a fantastic black metallic manicure, she had on a pair of shimmery bronze trousers as well.

The Brazilian-born beauty matched her outfit with a furry leather coat, and grinned deliciously as she posed for pictures and sipped a glass of wine with her pals.

When is it not "time for pampering" for the likes of Alessandra? Her existence is pampered. The part about her letting out a sigh and needing this after "a spirited evening out with friends only the night before" made me laugh out loud.
