She's far from Desperate: Full-time mother Marcia Cross maintains her Hollywood figure as she hits the gym

She's been enjoying life as a full-time mother and homemaker since Desperate Housewives ended last year.

However, Marcia Cross is making sure she's maintaining her Hollywood figure with regular gym sessions.

The actress, who is taking time out of the spotlight to enjoy being mother to her six-year-old twins Savannah and Eden, was spotted heading to the gym in Brentwood on Monday.

Wearing a pair of shiny leggings and padded jacket, it was clear the 50-year-old actress has still got her slim figure she was known for during Desperate Housewives.

The ABC show ended in May 2012 after eight seasons, with Marcia's character Bree Van De Camp having her happy ending in Kentucky with new husband Trip Weston.

While some of her co-stars have moved on to new film and TV projects, Marcia is giving herself some time out after years of long days filming the dark comedy.

As her twins were born during the show, no doubt Marcia is enjoying having more time to spend with them.

She is also getting to enjoy more quality time with husband Tom Mahoney, who successfully battled cancer in 2009.

In an interview last year, Marcia said she looking forward to prioritising her family.

She said: 'There are so many things I want to do but it's really about the people in my mind that I've neglected, though they don't necessarily feel that way.

'I've already promised my daughters that wherever they go to school next year I will be the class mom in some way, shape or form.'

I think she's actually put on some much needed weight. I always thought she was one of the best ones out of the housewives and I loved her character.

Marcia Cross looks beautiful and attractive even make-up free. She's got the figure most women half her age only could dream of. And she's a very talented actress, one of my most favourite Amarican movie actresses along with Laura Leigton and Meg Ryan.
