Australian Antarctic Division Library

A national resource for polar information, we deliver library services to support the research activities of the Australian Antarctic Program.

Subject areas have an Antarctic focus and include biology, glaciology, atmospheric physics, astronomy, climate change, polar medicine, geoscience, engineering, meteorology, oceanography, human impacts on the environment and environmental management plus policy and Antarctic Treaty information.

Our clients

Our primary borrowers are Australian Antarctic Division staff, Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities staff, as well as key researchers affiliated with the University of Tasmania.

Other researchers and individuals with a specialist interest in the Antarctic may access the collection. To ensure that Library staff are available, please contact us to arrange an appointment.
