Working off his dinner in advance! Colin Farrell goes for brisk hike with lady friend... then rewards himself with Chinese meal

They say you should never put the cart before the horse.

But that did not stop Colin Farrell working off his dinner in advance as he went for a hike in Los Angeles on Tuesday

The former line dancing instructor brought along a lady friend for the ride, before heading back into town to reward himself with a a five courser at fancy Chinese restaurant.

The Irish star looked in good shape as he marched around the Hollywood Hills, where he passed the time by chatting with his mystery woman.

Macho Colin showed off his muscles in a black vest, which he twinned with Adidas training bottoms and trainers.

Interestingly, the 36-year-old managed to wear more jewellery than his female companion for their walk, with multiple gold necklaces and two earrings showing off his taste for bling.

But he indulged his taste for something of a different kind later on, when he was spotted heading to posh Chinese restaurant Mr Chows in Beverly Hills.

The former Ballykissangel star's current trim form will not stay in place for long if he keeps indulging himself with visits to such eateries.

However, he did not seem to care as he swaggered in for his food in a trendy outfit of grey striped blazer, light brown dress shirt, dark jeans and leather designer shoes.

It is a big year for Colin, as he is starring in four films released this year.

He will be hoping they do not all perform as badly as the first in the sequence Dead Man Down, which has made just shy of $10m off a $30m budget after being released on March 8.

Interesting dialect. Apparently in LA, "going for a walk" is called "hiking". I wonder what they call actual hiking?
