He is gearing up to reprise his role in X-Men and has revealed he’s really looking forward to bulking up for it.

But it seems Nicholas Hoult has a little way to go yet, as he still resembles one of the bean poles from his last film Jack The Giant Slayer.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross show the British actor may have looked super slick but he still appeared on the skinny side as talked about gaining muscle.

The 23-year-old, who played Beast in X-Men: First Class is gearing up to play him again for X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Talking about his body for the film he tells the chat show host: ‘It’s actually quite nice because the last couple of roles I’ve done they’ve asked me to be really skinny so I didn’t get to eat a lot and now I finally get to eat anything and everything pretty much.’

The About A Boy star, who was dating Oscar winning actress Jennifer Lawrence until the start of this year, also opened up about getting attention from fans.

He said: ‘It’s odd, people don’t often come and actually talk a lot of the time, they kind of just follow you at a distance, it’s this odd spy game I’ve got going on.

‘You clock them and you see them clock you and they’ll just be twenty yards behind wherever you’re going and then I’ll start going into random shops and try and dodge them, ducking behind clothes rails.’

Nicholas is joined on the show by acclaimed director Danny Boyle, who shares how the Queen suggested her own lines during the scene and, and how her staff had photographs taken with Bond actor Daniel Craig on filming day.

Speaking about asking the Queen to appear in the Olympic ceremony, the Trainspotting director said: ‘It was part of the protocol you have to bring in the Head of State and sing the National Anthem and we thought we’d something different so we wrote up this idea of the James Bond idea, and we sent it into them.

'And we were asking really for permission for them to accept that it wouldn’t embarrass them and we’d get a double, a good double and we were thinking Helen Mirren, who could we ask who’s a really good actor?

‘They came back and said ‘we’re delighted for you to do it, and Her Majesty would like to be in it herself’ and the surreal thing, ‘she would like to play herself.’

‘So we did it in the room where she greets the Prime Ministers and then before we started I went into the other room which is where she lives obviously and it’s a regular place with newspapers and tea trays, and stuff like that.

‘And then she said ‘what do you want me to do?’ and I told her and she said ‘fine.’ So we got in and we started doing it and then she said ‘don’t you think I should say something?’ and I said ‘yes, OK, what do you suggest?’ She said ‘I’ll do something’ and we started shooting and she turned round and she said her lines beautifully.’

In his very candid interview, Danny also discusses turning down a knighthood, whether he would ever consider directing a real Bond film, and his vision for a Trainspotting sequel.
