Power cuts and travel disruption continue to blight Britain today, as parts of the country saw flurries of snow on another bitterly cold day. But as the cold winds caused deep drifts in areas where several feet of snow fell earlier in the weekend, forecasters have warned of the risk of ice as lying snow melts on roads and pavements and refreezes by night. The snow and ice, which has been causing continuing problems on the nation's transport network today, is expected to continue until after Easter, with temperatures dropping to -5C.
