The lady is a vamp: Gemma Arterton wears busty corset as she stars as a bloodsucking prostitute in latest film Byzantium

She's played a Bond girl, a school girl and a witch hunter.

But now Gemma Arterton can add a new string to her acting bow.

The 27-year-old stars in new movie Byzantium, where she plays Clara - a vampire.

When Clara and her daughter Eleanor, played by Saoirse Ronan, go on the run, they seek refuge at a local B&B.

More...

But the two couldn't be more different. Clara earns them money through being both a pimp and a prostitute, whilst gentle Eleanor yearns to be a writer and to share their incredible story.

However, when Eleanor takes a chance and confides in new friend Frank, she spills their secret - that they were born 200 years ago and live off human blood.

But when their secret spreads, the past isn't far behind and it sets into play a series of deadly events.

The film also includes many scenes of Gemma in a sexy corset and suspenders.

The actress isn't a stranger to revealing costume choices, with roles in the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, St Trinian's and Tamara Drewe all flaunting her figure.

X-Men: First Class actor Caleb Landry Jones and Mrs Biggs star Daniel Mays also have roles.

The movie comes from director Neil Jordan, whose past films have included the 1994 hit Interview With The Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles and The End Of The Affair.

Byzantium is due for release in the UK on 3 May.
