Being the mother of two young boys can be an exhausting job.
And it appears even fitness fanatic Gwen Stefani sometimes struggles to keep up.
The 43-year-old looked to be taking a bit of strain as she lagged behind her sons Kingston, six, and Zuma, four, as they ran ahead during a hike together on Saturday morning in Los Angeles.

Gwen was typically stylish in grey tight leggings, and over-sized grey tank top and bubblegum-pink trainers.
The star kept warm with a hoodie that casually fell off of one shoulder, and shielded her face from the sun with a baseball cap and large sunglasses.

The boys were the picture of carefree youth as they speeded along, their arms flailing as they raced each other up the hill.
Devoted mother Gwen kept a close watch on them as she ambled along the path, accompanied by the boys' nanny and aunt Soraya Rossdale.

The star confessed to Marie Claire last year that she no longer works out a grueling five days a week.
'This past year, I kind of stopped working out. I think my body just needed a break. And so I did that and focused more on feeling good as opposed to beating myself up,' she said.
She might claim to have given up the gym but you wouldn't know it judging by her amazing muscular shape.

Gwen is surely making sure she spends quality time with her boys as her band No Doubt heads back into studio to record a new album.
In February the music group wrote on their Facebook page: 'While we were traveling the world last year promoting Push And Shove, Gwen mentioned she was inspired to write new music.'
The announcement further explained: 'in January...the new music started flowing with unexpected ease. After spending three years recording the last album, this new pace feels incredibly exciting.'
