Celebrating with style! Jamie Lynn Spears gets cool fresh bob cut to go with her new engagement ring

She was overjoyed earlier this month when she finally got engaged to her boyfriend of the last three years.

And there was no better way for Jamie Lynn Spears to celebrate than by going out and getting a sassy new hairdo.

Britney's little sister took to Twitter to show off her cool cut to her 450,000 strong legion of fans.

Alongside the posting of her fresh new bob, the Nickelodeon favourite wrote: 'Short hair, don't care.'

And her fan's seemed to approve, with one saying: 'Love it, you will get used to it!'

The Zoey 101 star has been in ebullient mood ever since her beefcake boyfriend Jamie Watson finally popped the big question earlier this month following a three year courtship.

The tech savvy 21-year-old actress and singer revealed the happy news via her Twitter account.

The younger sister of pop star Britney Spears teased the announcement with picture of the couple, filtered through Instagram with the caption: ‘Guesssss what??????’

She also shared a photograph of the piece of jewellery her 30-year-old beau got her, writing alongside it: ‘:) #hedidgood.’

Jamie Lynn recently posted some snaps of her new fiance and her four-year-old daughter Maddie.

The actress took time out of her career to focus on motherhood after falling pregnant as a teen.

Jamie Lynn split from her fiance and Maddie's dad Casey Aldridge in March, 2009, just nine months after their daughter was born.

While shunning the spotlight all these years, Jamie Lynn now feels she's mature enough to take another crack at the music business.

She moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2011 to forge a new career and started performing on the country music circuit in America’s southern states.

Her relationship news comes just months after her older sister's broken plans to walk down the aisle for the third time.

Britney, 31, has been married to friend Jason Alexander, not of Seinfeld, and dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she has two children.

She was due to get hitched to Jason Trawick but they parted ways in January 2013.

We have the same birthdays.. (while I don't have a child) We both have blonde hair.. We both live in Tennessee.. We both are short.. AND now we're both seeing men 9 years older than us. This is slightly weird and funny.
