A Missouri man is accused of using a prosthetic penis to try to pass a drug test.

Sydney Levin, 34, of St Louis was allegedly spotted by a probation officer using a prosthetic device known as a Whizzinator last week before charged with possessing a forging instrument.

The device has been advertised in the past as a way to pass drug tests by filling it with someone else's urine that's warmed by heating pads.

Levin was on probation on March 21 for possession of a controlled substance and felony stealing in 2009 when he was caught, according to police.

Authorities say Levin's probation required that he submit a urine sample as part of drug test.

He pleaded not guilty on Monday after his arrest last week, KMOV reports. He was released after posting $25,000 bond.

The Whizzinator's website describes the item as 'a urinating device that is realistic in its look and feel’ of a real penis.

Every kit order valued at $99.95 or more is said to be eligible for free refills of synthetic urine.

In 2010 Gerald Willis who ran a Los Angeles company selling the product to cheat on drug tests was sentenced to six months in federal prison.

Willis' company disbanded, but the Whizzinator is still sold on the Web as a sex toy.

A website showing the products offer numerous warning labels against its use in defeating a lawfully administered drug test.

A message seeking comment from the company on Thursday was not returned.
