Hello girls! Zac Efron shows off his muscular physique in a tight white T-shirt on the set of his new film Townies

He's come a long way since starring in the sugary High School Musical franchise.

And on Wednesday Paperboy star Zac Efron showed how much he's grown in stature as he revealed his buff physique on the set of his new film, Townies.

The Charlie St cloud star wore a tight fitting white T-shirt which accentuated his muscular frame.

The Star, who featured in Punk'd recently, paired the top with some washed out denim jeans and a pair of Nike trainers.

The 25-year-old actor stars in the comedy alongside Rose Byrne, Seth Rogen, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Dave Franco.

The film is about a frat boy whose behaviour affects a local neighbour’s family life.

The Hairspray star just played a debaucherous bachelor in forthcoming film Are We Officially Dating.

And former child star Zac is set to have a busy 2013 as he's signed up for a number of new film projects including Parkland.

The 17 Again star features on the cover of Flaunt Magazine this spring.

He opened up in the mag about the influence of High School Musical:

'It affected a lot of people, its resonance, culturally, was massive … and at the same time, it was in every sense of it, the luckiest break in the world....' he said.

'All these interviewers now are trying to get me to...call it crap. But that’s insane. There are hundreds of people who began doing one thing when they were younger, who go on to develop and refine and shape their vision, as they get older, and other concerns—like fame, or money, take a back seat to other ones.'

Zac also told the magazine that he doesn't believe in complaining about the prove of fame: 'To bitch about attention while getting attention? I’d be doing it to the very people whose job it is to get that information— So that’s why I’m not going to complain'.

'I will do a lot of things in my life differently to make sure it’s not known or tweeted about or photographed', he continued.

Zac used to date his High School Musical costar Vanessa Hudgens, but the pair broke up some time ago, and he is not romantically linked to anyone right now.
