Not really his best foot forward! Dressed down Russell Brand heads out in Hollywood wearing his slippers

He is famous for his love of dressing down.

And Russell Brand took it to a whole new level as he went for a walk in Hollywood on Thursday in his slippers.

The Brand X funnyman certainly seemed to be enjoying his comfortable choice of footwear as he padded around the city streets.

He brought the indoors to the great outdoors by wearing his particularly comfortable looking footwear.

But the Londoner is still unaffected by the trappings of Hollywood fame after the success of his movies The Tempest, Arthur and Rock of Ages.

For the 37-year-old was more than happy to stop and have a chat with fans as he enjoyed his brisk stroll, perhaps even sharing some of his famous impromptu one-liners.

Mystical Russell has been studying the works of psychologist Carl Jung in recent months, even attending a 'spiritual cleansing' session at the CG Jung Institute of Los Angeles last October.

A follower of Sigmund Freud, his theories are today considered by many to be an elaborate form of pseudo-science.

The Swiss was a believer in astrology, spiritualism, telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance and ESP.

In addition to believing in a number of occult and paranormal notions, he also contributed two new ones of his own - synchronicity and the collective unconscious.
