Liam Hemsworth carts party supplies to Miley Cyrus' home while the singer heads to the recording studio

Liam Hemsworth recently returned from a working vacation in the Philippines and promptly reconnected with fiance Miley Cyrus - appearing to put the rumours that the couple had broken up to rest.

But if that were not enough to squelch the whispers of relationship discord between the two young stars then the 23-year-old's actions on Saturday will most likely do the trick.

While the 20-year-old country singer was putting in her hours at the recording studio this weekend the Hunger Games star was busy buying and transporting party supplies to his fiance's house in Los Angeles.

Liam was seen leaving Miley's house earlier in the day with some friends as they headed to a Home Depot store in Hollywood.

The group left the hardware shop carting what looked to be supplies for a keg party.

Funnels, rubber tubings and a folding table were among the items the cohorts were lugging into the trunk of their car.

After the successful shopping spree the friends returned to Miley's house to assemble their recently purchased party equipment.

For the outing Liam was dressed in brown pants and simple yachting shoes.

His toned torso was barely kept under wraps in a white tank top and a short sleeve button down.

The Expendables 2 star sported dark sunglasses while he drank a sports beverage.

Meanwhile, Miley was spotted driving to the recording studio on Friday. The singer and actress donned Jackie O sunglasses for the day of work.

Miley became acquainted with Liam while the two were filming the romantic drama The Last Song in 2009.

She is said to have fallen for him almost immediately but, nonetheless. their relationship has seen ups and downs since then - with brief break-ups along the way.

It was only last summer that the pair announced their engagement.

Liam reportedly proposed with a 3.5 carat diamond ring.

A source told US Weekly that Liam and Miley 'are very happy' and that 'things are going well' since Liam's return from Southeast Asia.

Rumours erupted that the two had split when the former Hannah Montana star was spotted in public without her engagement ring on.

But the songstress quickly offered an explanation for the missing piece of jewelry.

Miley's prompt response was in reaction to a tweet from her backup singer Lindsey J Lee when she lamented that the world had over thought her missing ring.

Miley complained that she 'had to send off my engagement ring today to get fixed... one of the little diamonds fell out... I feel naked without it :( so sad!'

As Liam promoted a clothing line in the Philippines, the petite actress quietly put back on the missing ring that had been causing all the fuss.
