Sheer daring! Lily Collins vamps it up in a sexy see-through top and skintight leather trousers as she attends WonderCon event

Her star is about to skyrocket thanks to her leading role in a teen movie franchise which is being touted as the new Twilight.

And it would appear that Lily Collins has well and truly made the transition from up and coming actress to fierce A-list fashionista.

Posing up a storm as she hit the red carpet for WonderCon 2013 at Anaheim Convention Centre in California, the 24-year-old actress vamped it up a notch in a sexy sheer blouse and skintight leather trousers.

Leaving her usually girlie style at the door, the Guildford-born beauty looked positively incredible in her fashion-forward ensemble, which showed off her newfound style credentials to perfection.

The Mirror Mirror actress teamed form-fitting trousers with a daring see-through top featuring an on-trend white collar and cuff detail, while throwing a luxurious looking leather jacket over her shoulders and teetering on fierce black stilettos.

Posing confidently as she arrived at the industry event, Lily - who is the daughter of musician Phil Collins - completed her look with perfect porcelain skin, a slick of dramatic red lipstick and her dark brunette locks parted in the centre and tumbling in loose waves around her shoulders.

After shooting to fame thanks to her breakout role opposite Julia Roberts in 2012's Mirror Mirror, Lily most recently appeared in The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones, the big screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare's best-selling teen fantasy series of novels.

And as well as securing a starring role in the movie - which is being hailed as the new Twilight - the actress also found love with her co-star Jamie Campbell Bower.

Cassandra recently told MailOnline: 'I remember coming to the set and one of the people who worked on the crew mentioned it. Then I saw them together and they’re so clearly in love and it’s very sweet. I wish them all the happiness.

'They’re very close and I begin to see them now in my head when I’m writing. I wrote Clary as very petite and delicate with freckles, because it’s a lot of fun to do a reversal because she turns out to be strong, which is very like Lily.'

And with five more novels in the Mortal Instruments franchise to get through, it looks as though the cute couple will have the opportunity to work together on plenty of occasions in the future.

Jamie was previously engaged to his Harry Potter co-star Bonnie Wright after meeting on the set of the wizard hit, but the couple split last summer after two years together, while Lily previously dated Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner.

Point: City of Bones is not the next Twilight - if the journalist who is (trying) to keep up to date with their info would read the books, AND watch the videos of the actual event at Wondercon, they would see it's much more on par with Harry Potter than the Twilight franchise. If you go in and expect to see Twilight, you will be in for a HUGE shock.
