Today, Nintendo hosted a Nintendo Direct video which outlined a number of new titles, and DLC additions to current ones.  It was basically a love letter to me.  Here’s the news and my reaction to the Year of Luigi.

Pokemon Snap – Go Round!

February 13, 2013 Leave a comment

This is the one and only game where you get to take pictures of Pokemon and have your photography skills graded by a professor who, from what I understand, is not a professional photographer. I mean, who does Oak think he is? I’m riding in a constantly moving vehicle while trying to take pictures of constantly moving Pokemon, and he has the nerve to tell me I didn’t quite get them in the center of the frame? Once, just once, I wish a Geodude would fall on his head.

Fluidity: Spin Cycle Review (eShop)

Fluidity Review Logo

I’ve played with a number of fluid based games over the years. I know I’ve owned a dozen or so of those games where you press a button to shoot air into a container filled with water in order to get rings onto little posts or shoot tiny plastic beads into baskets. Fluidity, a physics based puzzle platformer, began life shortly after the Game Developer’s Conference in 2008. The idea was pitched to Nintendo using the Wii Remote and the game was picked up for publishing. Now, with the 3DS well into its life it only seemed ilke a natural progression to move the game to the handheld. Now we have Fluidity: Spin Cycle, which will require you to use the 3DS in ways you could never have imagined.

What You Need to Know

Fluidity: Spin Cycle is a sequel to the original WiiWare title released in 2010. The game is a puzzle platformer where you play as a water sprite who must solve numerous puzzles, battle giant monsters and transform into different forms of water to save the rainbow sprites at the end of each level. You use the 3DS gyroscopic functionality combined with different buttons or the touch screen to move around the various environments you’ll see.

Speed Kings – Go Round!

February 10, 2013 Leave a comment

Back in the days of GameCube, I heard that this game was coming out. I thought this was going to be the start of an all new franchise, just as big as Burnout except with motorcycles. I got the game DAY one, and it was totally awesome (except for that can’t play four players till you unlock it thing.)

Looking back on it now, I’ve come to realize, that I’m the only person in the whole freaking world who bought this game, let alone knew about it. WHAT THE HECK?!! We should be playing Speed Kings 7 by now. AND WHERE’S MY ROAD RASH/EXCITEBIKE 64 SEQUELS!?!!

Since Shelby is to lazy to post my Go Rounds! now, I decided to take over this site. This is the first of two super secret hidden Go Rounds!  Enjoy!

Steven Spielberg is a legendary Hollywood director.  His achievement in film is unprecedented.  Jaws, E.T. Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, Lincoln, you name it.  But if you thought his greatest achievement was one of his films, you sir, WOULD BE WRONG!!!  His greatest achievement is making a video game, A GAME THAT WOULD RIP OFF THE COMPANY THAT MAKES JENGA AND CALL ITSELF ORIGINAL.  THE NAME OF THAT GAME IS, Boom Blox 2.  BUT WE DON’T HAVE THAT GAME SO HERE’S THE FIRST ONE!
