He turned 18 only three months ago in January.

But Connor Cruise has already picked up some adult behaviour, as evidenced by his Saturday afternoon activities in West Hollywood.

Spending the afternoon with actor Alex Pettyfer, the two whiled away the hours by partaking in their own risky business: riding motorcycles and smoking cigarettes.

The adopted son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Connor gained the right to buy cigarettes in the states mere months ago yet has taken full advantage of his newfound freedom.

Wearing oversized khaki cargo trousers, a grey T-shirt and a navy jacket, the 18-year-old covered his body for an afternoon of riding powerful motor bikes.

His sunglasses shaded his face from his own cigarette an added an air of cool – essential for a son of the Hollywood elite.

The young DJ’s need for speed has already been recognised in his taste in Lamborghinis – he arrived to Karl Lagerfeld’s watch line launch party at the beginning of March in a flashy yellow model.

Being spotted with a stick of nicotine dangling from his mouth, however, is a more recent development.

His partner in fun for the day, Alex Pettyfer, took no part in smoking, though.

The 22-year-old actor wore a casual outfit of a white v-neck T-shirt, zip-up jacket, light khaki trousers and black Nike trainers.

He was most recently seen in Magic Mike and has four other movies currently in the works.

While Alex enjoyed time off from a busy acting schedule, Connor must have been enjoying his time unsupervised, as his father is currently busy promoting Oblivion in Brazil.

Umm, I think he was simply riding the bike, not aping his father in a movie roll or is there some other way to ride a motorcycle that we don't know of. Good grief, give these celebs and their kids a rest already. There really is no story here.

Forgive me, but I am still very curious about Connor's biological parents. He looks too much like Tom not to be related in some way.

No matter how rich or famous, the cigarette negates everything...a truly stupid habit in this day and age when the ill effects are so well documented. I will bet all of the adults in his life are dismayed that he smokes cigarettes.

I sincerely doubt he was 'aping' his father's roles. never mnid the difference in clothes and bikes he was just out on his bike-in stupid foot wear and peddling around the carpark without a helmet- but then again THIS IS CLEARLY A FAKE ARTICLE. look at the pictures of connor. from the start to the end he changed his BIKE and his trousers. The pictures were taken at differnet times and then the DM was dumb enough to buy them as a single event.
