She's playing the assistant of a high powered executive in her new TV pilot.

But Krystan Ritter proved that she was the boss in the style stakes on Monday as she strutted through the streets of New York looking smart but stylish in business attire.

The 31-year-old managed to pull off an on-trend office look as she shot scenes for the new show, dressed in a buttoned-up blue shirt and thigh-skimming black shorts.

The Breaking Bad star looked confident as she strode through bustling New York City, with one hand in her pocket and the other clutching her phone.

Getting into her new role, the actress paired the black shorts with a matching buttoned up jacket, giving her a professional air, but still managing to accentuate her long legs.

She added a striped blue shirt underneath the jacket, buttoned to the neck, and wore her jet lack hair tied up into a high ponytail, pulling off office chic.

Keeping it simple, Krysten wore a pair of black tights and instead of adding towering stilettos opted for flat patent brogues, giving her outfit a kooky edge.

Rolling up her sleeves, the actress looked like she was ready for business as she breezed through the streets, wearing a quietly confident smile.

Later in the day, the Hollywood star changed from her office look into something a little softer, swapping the shirt and jacket for a black cardigan with white bows.

She kept on the black shorts, but Krysten ditched the brogues in favour of a pair of comfy-looking Ugg-style boots, chatting to a member of the production team in between takes.

The former model will be hoping that the pilot for the new show gets picked up after her latest show Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 was cancelled after just two seasons.

Clearly upset by ABC's decision to cancel the show, she wrote on Twitter: 'My beloved fans, sad to confirm that it is true. Don't Trust the B--- #apt23 has been cancelled. thank you so much for your support i love u.'

Kyrsten is working with acclaimed actor Alfred Molina on the show as well as Bachelorette writer/director Leslye Headland.

I hope she gets implants soon. It will balance out her figure nicely. - jim douglas, Birmingham, United States, 2/4/2013 20:10 So a woman has to mutilate herself to titillate ''men'' like you does she? Oink!
