The Weather Network is Canada's only 24-hour specialty channel devoted to Canadians' favourite topic of conversation -- the weather. The Weather Network takes pride in being able to provide Canadians with accurate, local forecasts for more than 3,000 cities across Canada as well as American and international destinations.
In order to develop its own forecasts, The Weather Network relies on a staff of full-time meteorologists and on a network of weather observations originating from a variety of meteorological sources from around the world. For example, Environment Canada is one of The Weather Network's leading suppliers of current weather observations and sophisticated modeling data.
The Weather Network also uses weather information from more than 120 other national weather agencies such as the Canadian Hydrographic Service (providing marine data), the National Weather Service and The Weather Channel (United States), Météo-France, The Met Office (United Kingdom), and Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (Mexico).
