Pretty in pastels! Olivia Wilde floats into spring in a yellow and white dress which shows off her ultra slim figure

With her yellow and white sundress, strappy sandals and chic updo, Olivia Wilde looked pretty as a picture as she stepped out in New York on Monday night.

The 29-year-old Cowboys and Aliens star was clearly determined to celebrate her April cover of U.S. Marie Claire magazine in style.

And her spring-like dress showed off the star's extremely slim waist and toned arms.

She completed her chic ensemble with a smattering of light blue eye-shadow and long drop earrings, although she was again without her engagement ring which is currently being resized.

The star confirmed her engagement to comic actor Jason Sukeikis back in January and has been flashing her 1920s Parisian diamond ring before having it altered.

'Keep having minor seizures when I look down and don't see my ring,' Olivia recently wrote on her Twitter page. 'It's being resized but my first thought is always that I somehow ate it.'

It will be the star's second marriage after her divorce from Tao Ruspoli back in 2011 after eight years of marriage.

'I had grown up with Tao; we had just drifted,' she told Marie Claire in her cover issue. 'I felt I had something to prove. If you fall off a horse, you get back up. I am not a quitter. I hung on for as long as possible, until it was more hurtful to stay.'

'I'm so grateful for the pain and the heartbreak. It gave me the courage to leave and brought me to the great love of my life.'

Before she stepped into her pretty spring dress, Olivia was in more casual but equally bright clothes, sporting a bright pink sweater and teal trousers as she took her dog Paco for a walk.
