And Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell were all smiles as they arrived back to Los Angeles on Thursday after attending a New York benefit.

The 67-year-old Oscar winner kept her sunglasses on as she and her partner since 1983 strolled through the bustling LAX terminal.

Goldie wore a black halter top under a white cardigan, black skinny jeans, and sensible flats.

Her bearded 62-year-old beau dressed casually in a pink beef T-shirt under a beige button-up, shiny blue jeans, and brown trainers.

The Golden Globe nominee sweetly kept his arm around the Death Becomes Her funnywoman as they headed to the baggage claim.

Goldie and Kurt were in the Big Apple to attend a children's benefit honoring producer Marty Richards at Edison Ballroom last Monday.

The Overboard pair joined Oscar winner Michael Douglas, Tony winner Tommy Tune, and five-time Grammy winner Clive Davis to honor the Broadway producer who passed away last November.

Hawn and Russell first met when Kurt was 16 and Goldie was 21 before reconnecting on the set of Swing Shift in 1983.

Although they have never married, the loved-up couple – who have a 26-year-old son, Wyatt – are still going strong.

'[We] have done just perfectly without marrying. I already feel devoted and isn't that what marriage is supposed to do?' the Private Benjamin star told Australia's Woman's Day magazine in 2007.

'So as long as my emotional state is in a state of devotion, honesty, caring and loving, then we're fine. We both have independent finances, we're both independently well-off.'

Goldie also has two children, Kate and Oliver, from her marriage to Bill Hudson.

And next year, The Thing actor will star in the horror-western Bone Tomahawk with Peter Sarsgaard, Timothy Olyphant, and Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter.

I love them. Marriage isn't the end all be all of togetherness. Most Hollywood marriages have a shelf life of fresh fish. These two are the real deal. Here's to a couple of decades more!
