AnnaSophia Robb cuts a colourful figure in patterned dress after admitting Carrie Diaries role has made her 'care more about fashion'

She admitted in a recent interview that her role in The Carries Diaries has led to her caring more about fashion.

And AnnaSophia Robb continued to prove her love for all things sartorial as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Wednesday, cutting a colourful figure in a patterned sleeveless dress.

AnnaSophia, 19, smiled widely as she was photographed strolling down Bedford Drive in the sunshine, teaming the dress with a pair of orange patterned slingback shoes.

The actress finished off her ensemble with a black and white bag over her shoulder, and carried a denim jacket.

AnnaSophia wore her blonde hair tied back into a high ponytail, and sported a pair of sunglasses to protect her eyes in the bright sunlight.

In a recent interview, AnnaSophia admitted that taking on the role of the young Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex And The City, has broadened her fashion horizons.

She said: 'I've started to care a little more about fashion. I'm starting to wear a lot more tights now. Carrie wears a lot of tights.

'I'm starting to wear more patterns. Carrie doesn't really have a specific colour - it's more layering of different patterns and textures and eras together.'

AnnaSophia also revealed in an interview with Seventeen magazine that despite her success as an actress now, she never fitted in when she was at school.

She said: 'I think girls are especially worried about being judged, and when you’re in high school, everything seems like a bigger deal than it is.

'As soon as you’re out, it feels like forever ago - zip-a-dee-doo-dah! So do what you want, and if people are going to judge you for it, who cares?

'You might not fit in, but that’s okay. Everyone thought I was weird in high school!'

AnnaSophia's outing came after she earlier attended the Kiehl's launch of the Environmental Partnership Benefiting Recycle Across America, at the Kiehl's Santa Monica store.

Other familiar faces to make an appearance included Alanis Morissette, who looked chic in a cream blazer and black trousers, and Amy Smart, who opted for a black vest top and blue maxi skirt.

As a fan of the original I to admit that I was apprehensive and while the show doesn't give me the same feisty feeling, I like it. I feel that it is aimed at the younger audience and will probably grow up as the viewers grow up. But for now I'm just enjoying it for its 80's girlie theme and I think that the actress who plays Carrie is a breath of fresh air...and I'm loving Maggie and Donna. But Mouse irritates me lol

I like her patterned dress. It's like a fashion camouflage. She could easily blend into the background in a, um, fabric shop. I think AnnaSophia is an actress to watch in the future. She has talent for both drama and comedy.
