She's his pink princess: Mel Gibson enjoys an afternoon in the park with his daughter Lucia

He was embroiled in a bitter custody battle with his ex Oksana Grigorieva so Mel Gibson always makes the most of time spent with his daughter Lucia.

On Thursday the 57-year-old actor enjoyed an afternoon at the park with his three-year-old daughter.

Lucia was Mel's pretty in pink princess for the day sporting a sugar sweet outfit in different shades of rose.

The little girl was wearing a floral dress powder pink leggings, a raspberry cardigan and a pair of cerise sheepskin boots.

Mel was seen helping his daughter enjoy a session on the climbing frame and kept and eagle eye, ensuring she was safe at all times.

At one point Mel was seen lifting Lucia up at the top of a slide, much to the little girl's delight.

The musician started dating Mel three years ago while he was still married to long-time wife Robyn, who filed for divorce during Oksana's pregnancy.

Mel will next be seen in the action sequel Machete Kills, due out September 13, alongside Lady Gaga, Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Alba, Sofía Vergara, and Charlie Sheen.

Lucia's mother Oksana is still unhappy with the custody arrangements.

She has reportedly claimed that she was sabotaged by her own lawyers during the custody battled and is now attempting to sue them.

According to TMZ, who have seen legal documents filed by Oksana, she's accusing Ron Litz and Daniel Horowitz of negligently advising her to agree to the terms in 2011.

If nothing else, he is a good father. We've gotten no bad reports from any of his children. Keeping his home in Australia was a great idea. This child will be in the news regularly if they remain in America.
